Flooring Estimator
We are currently seeking an experienced Flooring Estimator. This position combines office-based tasks in Lee Mill, Ivybridge, as well as travel across Devon and Cornwall, where you’ll visit sites to measure spaces, and ensure projects meet our high standards. The Flooring Estimator will prepare accurate estimates, work closely with our team, supporting seamless project coordination and providing assistance in our showroom.
The successful candidate will have proven experience as a flooring estimator with strong mathematical skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills are crucial to this role for both the domestic and commercial aspects. A proactive and organised approach to managing office and on-site tasks will also be necessary.

Key Responsibilities
Measurement and Estimation
Visit both new build construction sites and domestic customers to measure floor areas, assess requirements. Provide quotes to domestic customers and take ownership of follow up of these. Identify and communicate potential issues in subfloors on site to site managers. Measuring areas from plans to assist in the tendering process.
Preparation of Job Sheets
Create accurate estimations of materials from which to create cutting lists for the warehouse team and work orders for the fitting teams for each project.
Materials Ordering
Using estimations created from measures to raise purchase orders and order flooring materials in line with job sheets, ensuring timely availability for installations. Working with the warehouse team to manage ordering of sundry materials and maintaining stock levels.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the entire team, including warehouse, customer service, and sales staff, to ensure smooth project delivery.
Showroom Support
Assist customers in our showroom, handle sales transactions, and maintain a welcoming, well-presented environment.
