Choosing a carpet can be quite daunting, with so many manufacturers, styles and colours.
However, there are a few key questions to ask yourself which will help you find the right choice for your home.
• What room (or rooms) is the carpet intended for? Carpets come in differing qualities and materials depending on where they are to be laid. For example, bathroom carpet can be very different to carpet intended for the living room or kitchen.
• Will the carpet receive heavy or light use? Heavily used carpet will need to be more heavily constructed that lightly used carpet.
• What general colour or pattern should the carpet have? This will depend on the existing furnishings and how light or dark the room should be.
Also, heavily patterned carpet is generally better in larger rooms.
